JerPen Enterprises LLC
Services
JerPen offers a variety of services to the hydraulic industry.

JerPen exclusively uses Automation Studio™ software to create schematics. The schematic can be animated using Automation Studio™ software as an educational aid.
Hydraulic Systems Design
Hydraulic system design is the core JerPen service offered. JerPen has over 40 years of design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hydraulic circuits.
Designs can be created for open-loop or closed-loop circuits.
System pressures have been designed up to 30,000 PSI. System flows have ranged from a few GPM to several hundred GPM.
We have designed systems for mobile and industrial equipment.
Education
As the JerPen principal owner, Jerry Weber has extensive educational experience creating and teaching hydraulic course content. Course content can range from basic hydraulics to in-depth design as vocational courses for career advancement.
Courses can be taught and written around a specific piece of equipment or machine.
Basic hydraulic courses are taught through the Vickers* Industrial or Mobile books.
Troubleshooting
JerPen has over 40 years of hydraulic system design and troubleshooting experience. Most troubleshooting will happen at the customer's site or the end user's site.
Troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment includes research and can involve crossing obsolete hydraulic components to currently manufactured components.
Create Schematics
JerPen can review component equipment to recreate the system schematic and bill of material. Many manufacturing plants have parts of hydraulic-operated equipment where the original owner's manual containing the schematics is either lost or outdated. JerPen can assist your maintenance department by reviewing the machine to recreate the schematic with the bill of material.
JerPen exclusively uses Automation Studio™ software to create schematics. The schematic can be animated using Automation Studio™ software as an educational aid.

All-in-One Intuitive Software Solution for Increased Engineering Productivity
Hydraulics
Create, simulate and troubleshoot your hydraulic projects. Compliant with ISO 1219-1 and 1219-2 standards, Automation Studio™ Hydraulic Library contains all the component’s symbols required to create any hydraulic system. Hydraulics systems are used in industrial and mobile machines. These complex systems are characterized with schematics drawing where each component is represented by its respective symbol. This allows to share technical knowledge of the system within engineers and different parties.

Hydraulic Manifold Block

It is THE most effective software solution for the design, prototyping, validation and production of hydraulic manifold blocks integrating cartridge valves from a variety of manufacturer catalogues. This module makes it possible to quickly prototype hundreds of manifold solutions automatically through its “Auto-Create Block” algorithms and customizable design preference options. You first create your machine in the Automation Studio™ schematic workspace using components from manufacturer catalogs. These components already contain all the parameters necessary for the simulation, but also specific data required in a Manifold Block design such as cavities, connection ports, 3D geometries, etc.
FMECA Module
The FMEA module enhances the reliability and troubleshooting of your systems. It automatically lists and analyzes any combination of potential component failures that could occur in a system by comparing current performance to expected performance and documenting the differences detected. The information collected according to IEC 60812 (FMEA) identifies potential causes and helps prioritize diagnostics, suggest workarounds or mitigation solutions. The analysis report helps to improve the design and apply the pre-established solutions, as well as optimize intervention time for both designers and maintenance technicians.

Manufacturers' Catalogues

Manufacturers’ Catalogues Overview
-
Locate components by browsing through the catalogues directory, by searching for component families or by text search.
-
Configure component options according to model codes from manufacturers' specification sheets.
-
Simply Drag & Drop configured components directly onto the schematic.
-
Virtual test benches on all components allow users to validate the simulation model’s performance prior to integrating them into intelligent schematics.
Catalogues and On-Demand Components
-
Automation Studio™ catalogues include thousands of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components from various manufacturers. Users with access to Manufacturers’ Catalogues can also request a specific component to be developed according to available specifications.
Online Catalogues
-
Users now have access to the Manufacturers’ Catalogues through the Web. This removes the need to download and store Manufacturers’ Catalogues in a local or network directory, saving time and space. By always accessing the latest models, users can make sure the developers are working with the latest models, therefore providing more accurate results.
